Take a package of fish hooks with long leeders and pull one or 2 out of the package. Usually more will come out with the 1 you want. How do you get it back in the package? Also, how do you store the used ones, especially those that were used in salt water?

Today, I took some inch & 1/4 wide "Fish" paper 18" long and used that to stuff the hooks and extra leeder back into the package. (Fish paper is a material typically used for insulation between windings in the manufacture of transformers.) I tried paint stirrers but they are too thick.

I would like to hear what others do.

Thanks,
Nick

Re: Hook storage

New or used, I use 3/4" foam pipe insulation wrapped around the top of 1 pound coffee can. See lots of guys use a 5 gallon bucket as well
