In the case of foam filled stringers, Does the foam add any type of structural property to the stringer. Or is it just the glass wrapping. Are there any pros and cons to hollow glass stringers? Thanks
Depending on the design the foam may be structural.
Foam will help keep a thin laminate from deforming under stress and collapsing, if the laminate is thicker, then the foam may just become a shape to glass over.
