1989 johnson 140 Help!!

ok this is a two part question first off i bought this motor in a box and almost complete but i need help hooking up the primer hoses all i have is 2 primer hoses in t shaped configureations where exactly do they go also the water pump inducater valve is different then i'm use to where it exits the cowling there are two fitting to hook lines but there are 3 water lines! I may take a picture later to show you what i mean.

ok i got it almost all figured out except for hose number 55 it says adapter to control valve, it is hooked up to the control valve but at the other end someone shoved a bolt in it and i can't see what to hook it up to what is the adapter does not show on parts chart.

#55 connects from #37 to the outlet on the apapter plate (see the mid section diagram).

thanks.... mine is a little different i have no t like your shows and on the outlet where the water exits the cowling i have an extra fitting. I'll tackle later this afternoon and let you know!

It doesn't matter, the adapter is still the same and so is #55 - they still go to the same place on the 1989 as on the 1988.

The T is built into #40 on the 1989 motor and separate on the 1988.

It gets a lot simpler in 1993 when they did away with the control valve on what is otherwise the same powerhead.
