We have a 200HP Black Max on the back of SK2000 Bass boat and the thing is slow compared to other boats we have seen (me and my dad). We have been told that it's because of the prop and it's robbing a lot of power from the engine. I don't know if this is true or not, but we have a "High Five" 5 blade prop. Would that cause a lose in power and speed?
If we were going to go buy a new prop, what pitch should we get and how many blades? And what size for the Black Max? Also, my dad has no clue, and neither do I, on how to remove one. How do you do that?
EDIT: Sorry, I just realized there is a spot for prop questions, please forgive me.
