INFO on DELTA BOAT CO

Can anyone tell me anything about the Delta boat co? I am looking at 1983 Delta 185 18' bow rider . I can not find a value on it in NADA. It has a mercruiser 4.0 in it guy says 185 hp. Going to go look at it. Any ideas on this boat. Looks to be in fairly good condition. He says he will take us on the river. Any ideas on value? Any help would be appreciated. Can find a lick of info on a boat like this!

Ayuh,... Don't know about Delta,...
But,... Mercruiser has Never had a 4.0l motor....
If it's the 3.7l, 185hp,... You Don't Want It....
It's the infamous 470....
A quick search in the Motors, I/O forum will tell you Why, You Don't Want It....

Well....you are going to need the Hull Identification Number (HIN) actually the first 3 letters of that number. You can then look up company info on the USCG MIC database but no values.

Values on a little known boat company with that drive set up would be based strictly on condition. In "great shape" no soft spots in the deck, no rot, a perfect trailer and maintenance records could fetch up to $1500 ....... the market is funny right now.

Look in NADA for an equivalant boat of that vintage...... just for an estimate.
