how to cHANGE manual release screw??

guys my 87 merc 150 has a broke manual release valve screw. it broke inside the pump i guess. how should i remove it its already loose just nothing to grab. also that washer thats on the screw is preventing it from coning out. what do i need to do to remove it..thanks

It's not a washer it's a E clip holding the valve it slides off the side like a snap ring. In some cases you may heat a large screwdriver and melt a slot in the remainder of the valve to remove it.

ok.. e clip.. how do i go about getting off. cant bring it out front side so i guess the back side..
