omc lower water pump

hello, i was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me how difficult it is to change the lower water pump on a 1984 omc stern drive the motor is a 3.0 liter gm.

What outdrive is your boat equiped with? ie, Cobra...

it's not the cobra..

Cobra came out in 1986...
Stringer drive...

That video is of little use for an OMC stringer.
The OMC stringer water pump is in the Upper drive housing, not the lower like an outboard.
There have been several threads here at iboats on OMC stringer water pump replacement.
Not a job to attempt without a manual. Factory manual best. Seloc is ok for w/p.

How hard is it?
If you have mechanical experience, tools, patience, skill, some training and technical ability, it's a walk in the park.
