new starcraft, well new to me

hello,
I am new to this group... I have read for days now on these forums and the forums are great....

I just got a 1969 starcraft 16' mariner side console...

just a few questions please...

what was he max hp rating on this boat?

I cannot find any information about this boat on the net..... and I cannot read the original plate??

did they come with a splashwell or were they more like a john boat? since they have such a high and large transom???

I am planning a bass crappie fishing boat conversion on it....
livewell, cooler, casting decks, etc....

Welcome! I'm new around here myself. You couldn't ask for a better group of people than these fellas. There's a new old boat under there somewhere. For specifics on restoring - hang out in the restoration forum. TONS of Starcraft info there.

NB, you're like a ninja with all that classic Starcraft info. Outa nowhere. I love those old ads. Reminds me of fishing with my dad waaay back.

Not tryin to hijack but Matt, when I first got the boat I locked onto a guy out west who had a run of old brochures. Tryin to get some ideas and also figure out what I had, I roped in 64 thru 67, a partial 69 and two different 71's. So I share the info when someone comes a lookin

BTW, there's a 60's model 18' holiday in good structural condition beggin for a re-build on ebay in IL right now with a 300 buck buy it now!!!!!!! I/O and all!
