Four stinking hours! When we go it's for a 3-4 day weekend. I keep my boat on a lift during the summer so I don't have to drag it back and fourth.

Man, you guys have it made!

Isn't there some sort of river there in St. Louis? I think it runs through Saint Paul, too.

Water everywhere here. 300 yds. to a nice shorefishing lake. 10 minutes to three nice lakes. Dozens within half an hour. Plus the Mississippi launch I use is about 20 minutes away.

An embarrassment of riches here in Minnesota...for the four months or so the water isn't frozen.

100 yards to the creek, or 2 miles to the intercoastal, or 0.5 miles to the ocean. All require me to head to the boat ramp, but I have lots of choices to pick from. I'm in Fernandina Beach, Florida.

Just did a mental calculation, I'm about 8 blocks from the marina in a straight line. Three traffic lights between me and the boat. It stays at the marina for the season so it's always ready to go.

60 minutes to one, and 90 minutes to the other. (Prefer the 90 minute drive).

Actually, its not that bad. I figure I can be in the boat leaving the dock in 1 hour on the river. Or in about 1 1/2 hours I can be in the boat leaving the dock in the Chesapeake Bay. (I perfer this one) Plus if we stay at the bay for the weekend, then its only 5 minutes to launch the boat 100' from the back door!

Someday, I plan on either living on the water with the boat in a lift at the back door, or living abord the boat on the water. At least thats my dreams...

On the weekends I just have to walk out the door of my cottage and turn the key.

If I'm not already out at the lake, it takes me an hour to get to my cottage from my house.

I trailer about 22 miles to Lake Wallenpaupak, then launch
I had wished that at this stage of my life, I lived on, or nearer the water.

Walk more than 50 yards and I fall in. On Chaumont (Guffins) Bay, Lake Ontario.

2 miles from a 9.9 limit lake, and about 6 or 7 to the ramp.
I'm about 25 miles from the nearest ramp on a major river (Kanawha or Ohio).

about 20 min. from the lake 30 min. from the bay. and i have 6 launches within 1 hour.

when the boat is out of storage and the gas can is filled.
takes me 20 min. to get the boat hooked, rods and tackle boxes in, the wife is ready before i am .
oh a stop at Timmi's for coffee on the way , on the water in 1 hour and we will be fishing as long as shes catching something. lol

jd that's just unfair but looks great!. Me 23 minutes and 18 miles 7 minutes to prep and launch 3 minutes to park and lock the truck and trailer and we're off. Pre prep before I leave the house plug, mouring lines,safety check,cooler, tube,and oh yea wife and kid's.

Boat lives in the shed at home, always ready to go. 12 kilometres/8miles to the water. Private boat club... 15 minutes.

45' to the cove in front of camp. 1/4 mile to the private ramp. Life is good.

I am six bocks from the big muddie not the cleanest water in the world but it is good enough for the walleyes so that makes it good enough for me. We are 5 minutes from the driveway to the ramp.
