Hi folks. I have an opportunity to purchase a boat with a 2003 250 HPDI with 112 hours. The engine looks clean, good compression, and has had the Oil link rod set, Oil pump kit, and Ignition coil set.

The boat is priced right depending on the reliability of this motor. I've heard good and bad about these motors, your thoughts please?

Thanks alot!

Thanks rodbolt. I got a printout from the dealer and per the Unit Status Inquiry Report, the Oil link rod set, Oil pump kit, and Ignition coil set have all been replaced per recalls 090SC, 090SJ and 090SD respectively.

I recall you being a very knowledgeable Yamaha guy. Overall, is this a motor you recommend? Thanks again.
