Yamaha Fuel Lines?

Are the fuel lines on my 91 Yamaha 250 safe for ethanol? There are all the small lines on the motor and the thinwall line from the motor to the transom seems to be the same material. Grey with a red stripe.

I believe Yamaha says 10% only....not 20

The Yam lines seem to be in great shape so I'll leave them. I'll change the lines in the hull to get ready for E10.

No! I have a 2005 Yamaha F250 four stroke mounted on a Grady White 225.
I just spent $1,000 to replace a fuel line which had colapsed. You would think by now Yamaha wouls have figured this out.

My motor is an "older" 1999 Yamaha and all the fuel lines are original and black in color, seem to be like new so far, never changed them or had any issues so far. I guess if fuel lines were degrading then you might get black particles of rubber or some indication in your fuel filter or fuel/water seperator. I run the gas with 10% ethanol since that's about all we can get around here. So far, so good!...

are you sure it was the FACTORY yamaha line that was grey with a red stripe?
even that line if the fuel sits and goes acedic it will comprimise the line.
the black yamaha line should never be used in a rigging tube, it will collapse but not due to E fuels.
how could you spend 1000 dollars on a fuel line less than 5 ft long?
thats impossible.
