where to hook up vacuum guage for carb adjustment

i am running a little rich can some one tell me where or how , to hook up vacuum guage to fine tune my quadrajet four barrel carb.

mercruiser 5.7 small block , i just purchase this new vacuum guage and want to use it in the morning thanks .

You have to remove a plug on the manifold as there is no vacume advance on most older marine engines.
Behind the carb is a plug.Try to remove it.
You should be able to adjust the idle/air by ear.If the plugs are old/fowled then you will need to replace or clean them before you try.Jerry

Look just aft of the carb on the intake. There should be a pipe plug (3/8" NPT I think) that you can remove and put a hose barb fitting in for your vacuum gage.

thanks for the link, don s you are correct there is a plug there as you describe, thanks guys i will try and what i can get.
