I have a 1998 Bayliner 2050 LS with a Mercruiser 5.0L. All fluids are at good levels and the impeller seems to be working fine. However, the buzzer is constantly on while running and there is a readout on the dash which displays "CAL" and slowly draws a shape over and over:

|--|

but with the horizontal line at the top of the side lines instead of the center. Does anyone know what this readout means or if it has any indication of what the constant buzzer is signifying?

Thanks, Mark.

What display do you have. Merc has a lot of different types.

I'm not sure. The display I'm referring to is in the dash of the boat. I'm guessing a 10x2 LCD display above the depth readout.

I don't remember it saying anything, to be honest.

What's the engine serial number? Is it EFI?
That display isn't Mercruiser that I am aware

it could be a clock or an hour meter. You'd have to pull it out and see what it's hooked up to. It looks to be to be something from the boatbuilder, not mercruiser.
