And if the cable is suppose to be screwed out that far (to the middle) that would really not work...that is why I was wondering if there was a different idle adjustment somewhere...

Did the ends have to be installed on the new cable or did they come already on?

if you look at the pic of the original cable (it is screwed down all the way now)...if I screwed it out halfway there would be no way the top of A could be pulled back to the normal idle position. weird...

OK, if the ends were already assembled on the cables then we need to look at the way the cable is positioned in the control. Open the control and get some pictures of how it's positioned in there.

Are you sure the ends were on the new cable from the factory?

fixed it!!! The lever that it was attatched to in the control box needed to be tightened down. that reduced the play and made it pull the control arm back...THANK YOU MATE!!!!
