The bulb should get stiff after a few pumps. If it gets stiff and yer not gettin fuel to the carbs you may have a faulty bulb or fuel line restriction.

If the bulb doesnt get stiff after several pumps, you may still have a faulty bulb or a fuel line issue.

Check the "pick-up" tube in the tank also, they tend to rot and leak vaccum there.

mrcjoo1 Thaks for the straight talk. Ill check that pickup tube and replace all my fuel lines tommorrow. Hears something I forgot to mention the other day, with the help of some mixed fuel in a spray bottle I got the motor to run. when I joke the motor to the bottom two carbs it would stay running. Rough but running. Sounds Like Im almost there ,I just got to get into the fuel lines a little deeper

Hello

My first post here...

What are the consequences of a faulty bulb, my bulb use to get hard after priming three times and now it remains soft, coincidently I?ve lost top end speed. My motor is a 98, 150hp Johnson Ocean Runner.
Thanks

Joe
