Garmin 182 trouble.

I have had a Garmin 182 for almost 4 years now ,but lately it does not recognize the data cartridge.I bought a new cartridge (original garmin) but the problem remains the same,Sometimes when I insert and then pull the cartridge out and repeat this a few times it does read the data card.Other times it flashes a message about incompatible card.
Did any of you guys ever have that? If so,what did you do about it?

It sounds like the contacts on the card reader are dirty. They make ?slot? cleaners but I have no idea how well they work.

I got it solved with the help of a spray can of electric pole cleaner.It was very easy indeed.

That is,I thought I had it licked.It went right back to its previous bad behavior.
I checked the website and reading through their service offers I found out that they will refurbish or send me a new one (if they choose to do so)for all of $150.
So I will send her of to Kansas!
