84 150 float levels

what is the correct what to set the float level? tried to set by turning bowl
upside down then setting float even with the rim. installed new seats and valves but still have fuel seaping at an idel.

I'll assume you're talking about a V6.

Book says float drop should be 1/16". In other words it should protrude 1/16" inch when inverted.

So, yer flooding. No wonder.

BTW, the best bet is to get a maintenance manual for the engine. It's all in the book.

I always considered float drop, and float level to be two different things.

With float drop describing a hinged float and how far it is actually allowed to drop. And adjusted by a limiting tang that can be bent.

And float level referring to the amount of distance between some point on the float and some other surface it would be measured from.

thanks I'll reset at 1/6". Also have not been able to locate source for new floats for this carb WH 27 any ideas?
