want to convert short to long shaft

i have a shor shaft that i want to convert to along shaft have the two motors to do it just want to know if it will work.How much work involved simple or hard.

What kind of motors do you have?
Are you planning to shift the lower end off of the long shaft engine over to the short shaft engine? The things that I can remember (I've done a long to short shaft conversion on 40's) were:
Shift rod
Water tube(s)
Driveshaft
1 mounting bolt that's longer on the long shaft
The 5" spacer that makes the leg longer.

It's not a hard job, if you have all of the parts already.

i have one 30 hp long shaft and a 25hp short both around 1985 what else would be needed. i have replaced water pump before.thanx for the help

All the parts you need should already be on the long shaft.
