i pulled the cap off of my bassboat today to replace the transom.but to get it apart, i had to demolish the insert that goes through my transom that the splashwell plug goes into. both ends of it were rolled,so i didnt have any idea of the best way to get it out. i am also gonna have to remove theone on the lower drain plug also to replace the wood. any idea on removal also what is this piece calle, and where can they usually be bought ?

thanks

it's a bung.yes i said bung.you can get them at your local marina.and you can make a tool or buy one.it's a piece of threaded rod thats goes though a die on either end that rolls the ends over when you tighten the nuts down.
