anode stuck in outdrive

I bought a new anode for my Alpha one outdrive today. My old one broke off. however the old anode is very coroded in the oudrive and I cant get it off to put the new one on. I have the screw out and have beat the thing to death. It wont budge. Any ideas? I need to get this thing replaced ASAP.

if you have the bolt out then just use a long punch and hammer it.... you ARE talking about the torque tab anode right?

its amazing what a little heat will do. I just took a blow torch to it...and finally broke loose. Thanks to the folks at the local boat shop for that hint. This is a great web site!!! Looking foward to lots of useful info from it!!!

I was going to tell you to just leave it and it would corrode off eventually. Heat is the best for them.....
