acrylic latex paint

i have to paint my 69 john allmand, has anyone used acrylic latex? topside? bottom? if so did you still wax it? what is the best paint for my buck? i trailer my boat and will only see fresh water in the great lakes. thanks for the help!

Ya want it to peel like pulling your bedsheet back? Use acrylic latex around water.

I know that industry is using more and more water based coatings, but they are not the kind of thing that the average citizen can apply.

Keep us posted. I've got another boat, a little 13' "Bream Buster". I'm thinking about using it on that.
