difference in tires?

what is the difference in the a b c on the tire? mine is c the one at the boat store i think he said b.both are for 1360 lbs

Usually B load range is about 1100 pounds,and C is 1360,i think it depends on the tire size also.When you get up in the D load range they are usually 6 ply.

My new Marathon c-rated tires ST205-75-14 are good for 1760lbs each.

I went and looked at my Load Master C range tires..yep,1760.
Maybe its the B rating thats 1300 pound rating.I remember when i bought them there was 2 stacks of tires in the store that size.B and C rated.I had to make sure i grabbed all four the same rating.

so if its b c d the more plys the better the tire? also if my boat weighs around 1800 lbs and each tire is rated for 1360 I should be ok then.
