1996 112hp timeing advanceing problem

problem is when advanceing throttle to full power engine will not advance...linkage was set twice by tec"s...when motor is going with cover off .."if I manuelly pull linkage?"that runs under fly wheel...boat goes on plane and runs well..with out it plows water..Any suggestions ? there was a remanufactured power head installed..the engine ran very well for about 50 hrs...all cylinders were compression tested ...all great...thanks for any info Mike

Welcome!!

If I understand it correctly you're saying that the timer base only advances if you manually pull it by hand. It will not advance with the throttle arm.

If that's correct you'll need to pull the flywheel and stator. Then pull the timer base. There's a delron ring under the timer base. That's either not seated properly, dirty or it's not lubed properly. To be honest, it you had a "tech" look at it twice I think I'd find another "tech".
