Which Manual???

I 'm wanting to get a manual for my 91 Johnson 150. On ebay they have two different ones and I was wondering which one to get. 1) Clymer Evin/John Outboard Shop Manual 2-300 HP 91-94. 2) Service Manual 90 degree Cross V Models 85-115 and 150-175, seller states that this is an OEM manual but I'm unsure. He gives a part number 507949 for the manual. If both suck then please give me a heads up. Also I'm unsure about the whole 90 degree thing. Thanks to all who reply.

Re: Which Manual???

The OMC shop manual and the corresponding parts manual specific for your engine are the only way to go IMO. You will waste a lot of time with the Clymer or the Solec looking for things that either are not there or do not match your engine.

The problem is that there are two different sets of 150-175 motors 60 and 90 degrees. What is the model number of your motor.

Agreed, need to match it to your motor.

Ezeke,
I checked the model number it appeared to be VU150SLEIE but I couldn't quite make out the second letter could have been an O or J. I hope this helps.

The letter is a J

It is a Crossflow so you want the 90 degree crossflow book.

Thanks Ezeke,
That's the exact manual they have on ebay. So I would take it that that's a go on that on?

Re: Which Manual???

That's what I would buy. There are several, so get the best price.

Then you can download the parts manuals and that should set you up well.
