Impeller replacement on 1986 Merc. 170hp

Hope you all can help. Today I was out on the lake and the engine started making a crackling sound when I turned it off. The temperature never got over 175 degrees on the guage, but it smelled hot. I took the engine cover off and the coolant tank was very hot. I also noticed the boot coming off that look like it had blisters on it. As soon as I got home I put the 'muffs' on it and noticed it had no water flow. I am almost sure I need to replace my impeller, hopefully not more. A while back a very nice guy by the name of Don S. on here gave me a link to a website with some exploded views and some part info. (Don, if your looking in I would love that link again.) Or, if anyone else for that matter has any info on that I would sure welcome it. Thanks again.

Below is a link to the OEM service manual. Section 2A and 3B should get you thru the impeller change.
