New ignition switch for a 1979 Mercruiser 470 chaparel

I need to change the ignition switch on my 187 chaparel > I see the owner before my changed it but I need to know what kind of switch it needs. Is there a switch thats better than others?

Any 3 position switch (off-on-start) will do.

HERE are several to choose from.

Or you could just use the Merc genuine... # -54212A7.

IF, that is what Chaparel used to begin with. It takes about a 2" hole in the dash as I recall, and costs almost 60 bucks.
