Took out my new boat w/ a 200-hpdi. The boat was tested for two hours before I put in the water. I noticed after I was on my way the digital light above the overheat warning started to blink, there was no horn warning sound with the blinking. Anyone could tell me what is going on.

I did not sign any PDI sheet. It is a new 200HPDI. Flushed system for 10mins with hose. The pisser is strong when running and at Idle.

Re: Overheat Light Blinking

look for the technician certs on the wall.
your dealer sucks big time the riggers cant read.
reset your DIP switches on the tach and all will be well.
the tach is shipped from japan as 4 stroke,12 pole and 2 wire trim. reset the 2 or 4 stroke swicth to 2 stroke and your immediate issue goes away.
the issue of the dealership is your problem.

Re: Overheat Light Blinking

Thanks a lot; I caught the problem today. There was a four stroke 150 on the boat before I had changed out to a 200HPDI. I remembered the Tach gauge switches needed to be set for the two stroke since there was a four stroke on the back. You are right the dealer suck on the rigging. That should had been caught by a good technician.
