Ground Clearance??

What everybody recommended ground clearance between the bottom of the motor and the pavement? I changed trailers today and now with the transom saver installed I feel like the motor is a little closer than I would like it to be to the ground. I played with adjusting the transom saver a bit. Got it so I was comfortable enough to make it home.

minimum 12" then you have to be careful of curbs, and dips. crossing them at a angle lessen the dip.

Even at 12" like TD says, you have to watch.
You back into a spot and not notice something back there and wham, your LU hits it.
Mine is about 24" from the ground when hooked to the truck.
