what should I expect with the new prop?

I have a 2500lb glass bowrider with a penta 3.0L. The OEM prop was a 3 blade 15x17. At WOT would turn just under 4700 rpm at 40mph.

Unfortunately I banged up that prop on the weekend and the only replacement I could get quickly was a 4blade 14.5x17. It seems like the max speed has gone down significantly 36mph ish. should I expect hole shot to be better? I would be happy to sacrifice some top end if hole shot is better but I didnt have a chance to pull a skiier so I cant tell if it is much better or not?

What WOT RPM with the new prop? Usually want to go slightly down in pitch from a 3 to a 4 blade . . .

with the 3 blade 15x17 WOT was around 4900rpm with the new prop is is higher (I havn't gone higher than 5000) but I guess around 5200.

Well sounds like the 3 blade was cupped and the 4 blade maybe not. Anyway . . . if you cup the 4 blade it could hurt your hole shot, so . . . Hmmmmm. Playing with props is a pain in the ar$e unless you have a dealer that will work with you.
