Rolmops: I have a 'strong opinion' about what Gubmint is necessary for and where it overreaches and causes harm. Teddy Roosevelt is one of me favorite Presidents where his Cousin is one of me least favorite ones.
We need limits on the potential of raw Capitalism, (as TR helped us put in place). We need a Military to protect us. We need securities laws to assure orderly cornduct in the financial markets. We need roads n' bridges, (but as long as the quality is high we don't need to force the Contractors to hire high priced union labor n' pay graft to local Pols like here in God's Country where state projects cost ten times what anyone else pays).
I don't like a smart Liberal to make up a meaningless term like "living wage" n' decide on an arbitrary number $5.00 or $1,000.00 per hour n' force me to pay that with me own money. That is a private matter n' NOT in the pervue of Nanny Gubmint. Gubmint can require safe work place conditions, n' dictate safety issues, (as long as the Socialists don't get carried away).
The IRS needs to be eliminated, (talk to Boom about that one), the Federal Education, Housin' n' all other NEW DEAL type creations need to go away unless they are Cornsistent with THE STILL EXISTING, (thus still in force if we wake up n' pay attention), LANGUAGE OF THE CORNSTATUTION, limitin' the Federal Gubmint.
The explosion in bidness at all levels would blow all you guys away, if what Ol' Murky is proposin' actually ever happened!!!!
