Can any answer some questions for me. What does it mean by pressure test a lower unit. What are you looking for when you have this done. And for what reason would you have this done.

Pressure testing a LU is done to ensure all the seals are good or to find bad ones. The way it is done is to drain the LU of oil and then hook up an adapter to an air supply with low pressure in it (~10psi I believe) and then listen/look for any telltale leaks at all the seals.
