determining year of motor

I have the serial number for my 40 hp big twin. I was told it was a 73 or 74 and it is not. Can anyone tell me of a website where I could go, enter the serial number and find the correct year for my motor? I need to buy a new fuel pump. Thanks for your help. Jim

Hi Joe, the model is Evinrude Big Twin 40 HP #40453S

Hi Joe, I don't know if I submitted this correctly. The model # is 40453S and the serial # is #01161. It is for a 40 hp Big Twin Evinrude. Thanks, Jim 1819suny

Thanks for the info, now that I know it is a 1964, do you have any ideas where I can get a fuel pump for it? If so, do you know how I would find the proper part # for a fuel pump? Thanks, Jim
