bayliner sport jet: not turning over

i am trying to start a older boat that was winterized about 7 years ago, i took the sparkplugs out which drained some antifreeze, put in a new battery, replaced all fuses, put in new fuel. when i try turning it over it will only try to turn over, but when i take out the sparkplugs it turns over easly. please help

Check and clean all the electrical connections...especially starter, solenoid, battery... Sounds like a poor connection somewhere. Could be the battery too. even a new one can be defective.. get it 'load tested' at the parts store.

Other than that, could also be starter dragging.:confused::confused:

IT DRAINED ANTIFREEZE WHEN YOU REMOVED THE SPARK PLUGS?????? better keep cranking the engine with the plugs removed,, there should NOT be antifreeze in the cylinders,, something is wrong there, how did they get it in there in the first place???

I would get a fully charged batt. and mabey blow some mystery oil through the motor with plugs out to lube rings etc.
