thanks for the reply, that chart could definately come in handy. im still curious to know if theres a connection on/in the control box instead of running a wire to the motor.
On my dt40 i have wires from my controls , but is a yamaha 703 control. I will take a look in this weekend if i have some time. I think the tach wire on my control is gray. The other wires on the tach could be find easy with a multimeter, from the ingition switch and navigation light switch(for light on tach). This method worked for me
