Trim cylinder question

I have a Merc 350 with a Alpha one outdrive. One of my trim cylinders broke where the long ss line goes into it. The number stamped on the cylinder tube is 98704. When buying another cylinder, do I need to just make sure and buy a cylinder that has the same number on it? Or are there other things I need to know before I buy?

The number you have is the part number 98704A 3 now you will have to specify port (left) or starboard (right) cylinder. List price is about 380.00. Good luck

Best prices I have seen are at ebasicpower (aftermarket GLM brand - not OEM).
