Hi Guys, I have a 23' Wellcraft Eclipse 3900 lbs unloaded. Mercruiser 260 hp, Alpha 1, gen 11. It currently has plain Quicksilver stainless 17" P. It is turning 4600 - 4900 rpm depending on the lake I go to ( altitude ) and conditions about 48 mph ( stock speedo, no gps ). After a lot of reading threads here, I am looking to go to a Turbo 1 prop. I am wondering what the difference will be on RPM,speed, lift going from the quicksilver to the Turbo 1 ? I am considering going up to a 21" pitch with the turbo. ( the boat came stock witha 21" pitch mirage ) But I don't want to overprop because of the Altitude. 3000 to 3500 or so feet. . I am looking for more speed if possible, but also do tubing so don't want a dog out of the hole. Look forward to your replies Thanks, Rich

Re: Turbo 1 prop ?

21P in the Turbo will be WAY too much.
Which quicksilver prop are you running?? there may be some better options...

OOPS! Sorry I meant 19" Pitch, 1 step up from the 17".( It came with a 19" mirage when new) It is a quicksilver part # 48-16314 a4 17p which I read at some prop site was a cheap stainless replacement prop from Quicksilver. Look forward to your help Walleyhed.

Let me dig my Merc book out and see what that number is....I can then compare and see what may be the best option...Hang tight!
