1963 johnson sea horse 75hp-not peeing- gear grease foamy biege color-

I fixed the magneto ( with alot of help fom ya'll) and it started up I noticed it was not peeing and shut it off. I opened the water intake cover and found pieces of rubber that were not there when I checked it for obstruction prior to starting. When I drained the gear grease (that was new prior to starting) it was a creamy biege color. Any ideas??Thanks for all your help so far...

It would certainly appear that the water pump impeller is history. As for the oil, for right now just change it. You don't know how long it took to get that way. You can always do a gearcase reseal job later after you get everything else in order. One thing at a time. The reason I suggest doing it this way is you don't know yet what other problems might come up. Like does it stay in gear when running it on a boat.

to replace this impeller. do I need to remove whole lower end. If so I can romove the shift rods. And the bolts holding it on but it doesn't want to move after that.
