I always used that port and left have the same number of letters to help me remember which side is what . . .

I am hanging out with a British dude this weekend while traveling, and we were watching some boats on the river here at night and talking about running lights. He blurts out "There's some red port left in the bottle". After I stopped looking for the bottle, I realised what he had said . . . Now I can remember which side is which according to lights too. Kewl! Anybody hear that one before?
