3 cyl and 4 cyl power t&t

i have a 79 115 that i just found out the power head is junk. i cant find a good used one and dont have the money for a rebuilt one. my 81 70 has manual t&t, and i would like to convert to power t&t from the 115. does anyone know if it is possible, or is there a web site that may explain?

Looking at the parts break down, both TNT units for each engine look the same but part numbers are different. Maybe just heavier wire for the 115....I don't really know. Both mount up the same. I would give it a shot and see what it it looks like. Maybe one of the other guys will have some idea.

Hello

The finer points of the hydralic's for the TT are explained in the oem manuals, however, here in this forum there does not seem to be anyone that is an expert on the TT. I have seen a few of the units you want to swap to the lower HP engine listed to use the same unit on the 115. Measure it out; if you can fit it in there, you could probably get it to work.
Remember the manual tilt engine may not have all the wireing that is required to hook up the TT even if it fits.
If a TT specialist is drawn in by my comments then I will try to hyjack the thread with more questions. LOL:devil:
