1994 BlackMax 200hp

Ive got a buddy with a 200 black max that is acting strange, it will fire up when he puts it in the water and run great while underway, but when he gets to his spot and fishes for a while the motor is very hard to start, I looked at it and never could make it do it while running it in a drum, dont know where to start looking since its fuel injected. Im more or less a rude mechanic so im kinda lost, he changed the seperator and the little fuel filter on the motor any help would be appreciated. also theres a very faint beep he said and he looked in the manual and it said to change the water seperator he changed it and said it was still beeping. thanks

There isn't a computer on that model that you can reset the codes on. But there are more than one thing that will set off the alarm. Oil reservoir level, over temp, oil pump operation sensor, etc.
Was there actually any water in the fuel filter? If there is a lot of water in the tank and the changed the fuel filter, it may have put water right back in the filter...... Hence the alarm still going off.

thanks guys ill have him take a look, its actually a 95 efi that says black max on the cowlin. keep it comin 8)
