Tylox is the same thing as Percocet. That's about as strong a prescription pain killer as you can get. BTW 3 of those bad boys is at the toxic level. Be careful, or you'll need more than a orthopedist.

Sounds like this could be the carpel tunnel thing where the nerves are compressed in the carpel tunnel of the wrist. These nerves go from the fingers to your shoulder. Are your fingers going numb and you have a burning sensation of the hand and fingers ?? Is it really bad at night ??
I have had this for years and my daughter had surgery for it several years ago.
One thing you could try is to get a brace that straps around you wrist and keeps your wrist from bending and clamping down on these nerves. Wal-Mart sells these for around $10. It slips over your hand and It has a metal spoon that goes in your palm and velcro straps that go around your hand.
Hope this works....
no numbness, just pain and very weak, I tried elbow braces and wrist braces, didn't help, but the elbow brace helped remind me not to straighten it out, seams to feel better if I don't straighten it out completely

Pain is what tells you that something in your body is not right and should not be used! Pain killers dampen that ability and cause you to use something you should not be using! They mask the symptoms, are not the cure.

If it is bad enough that you need the pain killers, keep pressing your doc, or see another doc. You could have something serious. It could be the head of your radius has broken off - any falls recently? There is a nerve that goes across that area and will effect the wrist area. Also, the radius can migrate back towards the elbow, restricting range of motion to the wrist.

It could be nerve damage, it could be vertibrae damage, it could even be cancer. There are so many things it could be, and there - don't mess with it, and don't wait.

Re: anyone had a pain in your arm ?

i have been prescribed all kinds of pain killers. I have some conditions that id rather not mention. and Oxycottin is by far the best and usually are prescribed to the terminally ill. I have let these go to friends that snort them and thats what drug stores get robbed for.

aspeck,
no falls, just in my line of work my arms get pretty abused.
seems like using an impact gun really disturbs it...
also have a boss that's a *** and he doesn't think going to the doc as long as I can use it is acceptable
good advise thanks

Anyway, that's why I mentioned it. 1500mg of APAP is TOO much. You can fry your liver.

Dang Drew, are you okay? I'm surprised you're awake enough to type with that much dope on board. Just kidding. I know pain sucks.

It appears that you're in need of an amputation, other than that get yourself an appointment with a bone specialist as early as possible.
I hope that your arm gets well soon.

Best of luck to you xtraham...my father always said 45 was the age when you get a pain and that it just moves around from place to place from that day forward...
