7.5 Sears SeaKing (Sears- Simpson Sears) so Canada I guess...
Mod 574 60320
SER 65600710
This is a "squatty" low fisherman style, like the old 60-70 9 1/2 Johhnyrudes
I searched Discount Marine, and can't find anything under these numbers. Anyone have a better location to look? Thanks

In the U.S.60120 is a 1960 12 hp. 6000 is a 60, 7.5,
All built by McCulloch. Perhaps Canadian numbers are different. As unusual as it may seem an impeller and points may be available right here at iboats.

Re: Seaking 7.5 (Sears Simpson) ID help

From Discount Marine....I KNOW this is a 7.5hp. Tag, cowling...also not a Seaking as told, as most of the plastic cowling is gone, just the back with 7.5 on it, but a Sears. Has both Sears, and under Sears Simpson. Sears Canadian has diff #'s...why does this s#%T always happen to me!

Look on eBay for a McCulloch 7 1/2. I'll bet it looks just like yours if any are offered. White with a fold-Down handle.

I just looked. No motors right now, but there is a brand new carrying bag offered. Bids are low right now.

Definately made by McCulloch. Sea King was the Mongomery Wards brand. I'd bet it's not Ted Williams or Gamefisher which Sears used. It might simply have said Sears or Elgin on the cowl.

Re: Seaking 7.5 (Sears Simpson) ID help

I'm thinking just a Sears. The PH is McCulloch. No Monkey Wards anywhere. Wondering if Discount Marines model/ser guide is misinformed. Although it says Sear Simpson, the numbers don't match the Canadian #'s.
This motor has some memories of years ago. Had an Uncle that worked for Sears, and got good deals for my cousins on boats and motors. Only would have been 10 years old when this came out, but I remember seeing similar out at the lake back then. God, I miss those old days. Green Johnsons, Merc Towers, Mark's on Hydros. Just too much fun!
