Most pictures when loaded up at a pic hosting place will have a .jpg after them.
Go to tinypic.com and upload your picture there and then get the pic addy and just cut and paste it here.
It will show you the complete url to it.

Jeez, guys, Christmas is supposed to be a happy time. Why drag Bayliners into it now, when the need for something to laugh at will be much greater in January or February?

There, there. What's the matter Curmy? Didn't get your Meds today?

If you ever do, be sure to bring a picture of your boat. The drive thru babe can usually stand a good laugh ... :^

Re: OK, LETS SEE THE BAYLINER

You really can't fault the Crusty Old Man for his resentment towards the outstanding value that Bayliner gives to the consumer. Some just have a hard time with the fact that Bayliner is the most successful boat manufacturer on the planet. They outsell all others more than 2 to 1 except for SeaRay. Wait a minute, SeaRay is built by Brunswick, the same parent company as Bayliner.
The overpriced Grady White's don't even show up in the top 20 retail sales of fiberglass boats over 14 ft. I Wonder Why?

Poor Curmy, he could have bought a Trophy for half the price and would be out fishing instead of working at his fast-food job to help make payments on the expensive Grady.

Whether broke, lonely or both, it's truly sad that he needs to beg for a ride in every one of his posts. :'(

Seabreeze was also the most successful manufacturer on the planet at one time. That was some real quality, too. I even looked at a Trophy once ... once. I guess "consumer value" is in the eye of the beholder. Happy Holidays ... d:)

yep, and the good folks building Bayliners over at U.S. Marine are "laughing" all the way to the bank.
Merry Christmas Curmy!

I'm sure they are, and that would mean what for the consumer? The "good" folks at Seabreeze probably laughed all the way, too.

And Merry Christmas to you, Rondi. I'll be boating over Christmas, how 'bout you?

I would hope they are laughing. Success brings me a chuckle too!

Cliché: To Laugh all the way to the Bank
Explanation: 1. To gloat over making money. 2. To make money when others thought it was not possible.
Country: United States

Bayliner is like the "Home Depot" of boats. As for your question of "what does this mean to the consumer?" It's very simple, they buy materials in bulk quantity. Like Home Depot, they are able to offer quality (yes, I said quality - not, highest quality) items in larger quantities and pass the savings to the consumer. The smaller "Mom and Pop" makers are simply unable to compete, pricewise.
US Marine also owns Mercury Marine engines, they don't buy engines from a 3rd party and are again able to pass the savings on to the consumer. It's common sense that their large profits come from selling in quantity, not by overpricing.
[ spell out loud now: W A L - M A R T ]
Glastron used to "laugh all the way to the bank" as they were #1 in the '70s, and they're not doing too bad now, this would make a better comparison than the obsolete SeaBreeze you love so much to bring up.

To you, the BayBashing may be fun, but it's been a dead horse ever since Brunswick turned the company around. Why you try it here is beyond me. I've seen some of your posts, I thought you were better educated.

Speaking of common sense, I bought a Bayliner to have fun, not to impress others with a brand. I will spend the thousands saved compared to competitors on more important things. And the boat will have the same reliability / maintenance issues that all the other boats have.

And yes, our family will be running out to Parker, AZ over the Christmas break.

Wal-Mart does make a lot of money ... it's been said they're singly responsible for a positive Chinese balance of trade. I'm glad you love your choice of boats, it's what keeps the passion alive.

My Grady is an '86 model I bought last year for far less than anything new. Don't know how to compare it with comparable Bayliners ... can't seem to find many even approaching that age.

PS, have fun in Parker, wherever that is.

It took me all of 10 seconds to bring up 20 pages of 1985 thru 1990 Bayliners for sale listed on YachtWorld. Do you want some computer lessons?

And it's funny, though. Only five pages of Grady's that survived from that era came up.

Thanks for the "laugh". I could go for another, I'll bet Curmy's '86 is a riot

as for Parker, it's about 2318.38 miles due west. Need computer lessons?
