2-65hp chryslers 22 yrs storage 50 hrs ea. value? the prop turns ok not seized,manually,unable to battery test,they look good, starter drive moves freely.suggestions on what to look for and how to properly evaluate. thanks gentlemen. richard

Does the flywheel turn?
Compression check.

Expect to stick money into water pumps, carb rebuilds, lower unit seals, fuel lines. And ignitions/tune up.

Value? Not much. a few hundred.

roscoe, thanks, for input, glad i asked the fleet,i'm a boat designer/builder not an outboard pro, doesn't sound like a good investment, i did fish one time with a safety pin, saw the fin but took it on the chin, good memories thanks again,

i wouldnt take em' for free.

werent even a high dollar item when they were new and ran. now they are lawn ornaments

If it was an old Johnny or E'rude maybe. But those chryslers were a pain anyway.

Buy them for 5 bucks and hang them on a tree for a month. If the birds take to it keep it. Otherwise its poisionous. Hey, worked for the indians.8)

65 HP Chryslers make great mooring blocks and two even better, the only problem is the bouy chain will be worth more than the motors. Funny thing it took the owner 50 hours to realize what he had and 22 years to recover from the shock.

Chrysler did make the Force not much better hard to find parts and so on. F--- Over----Repaited----Chrysler---Engine. Just an opinion

There are 2 types of Chrysler motors. Those that are being fixed and those that need to be fixed.
