need help determining year of johnson superseahorse

I just bought a johnson super seahorse. The model number is RX-11A and the serial number is C383615. Could anyone tell me the year and horsepower as well as the oil/gas ratio.

That's a 28hp made in 1963.

Can't help you with the ratio, some of those old girls are 24:1 but I'm not sure on your motor.

1963 uses 24:1, jeight.

The switch to 50:1 came in 1964.

my manual say it is 24/1, spark plug J4J gapped at .030. i think j4j was replaced with j4c
