testing my stator

stator replaced 09-18-03 on 85 force new battery not staying above 12v.how can i check if my stator is working properly.

Is your motor running good? Dont you mean test your rectifier? The rectifier is what converts the AC to Dc to charge your battery. Please also post your model number.
