I'm not sure you can find a similar seat bracket sold retail.

That trim is called rub rail and you'll have difficulty trying to find similar but looking around and learning what's out there is the way to gain more knowledge...

Need help with original equip throttle/shifter. Took it apart to recover the side with vinyl now cannot fit back together. All ideas welcome. See pics in my post on steering and controls forum page in iboats. Thx. Joe

  • I'm pretty sure that can be said for most of these projects! Yours is looking good so far, I'd just add that you should make sure you leave enough room in the bilge so that you can swap out a pump if needed, once the splashwell is in it can get pretty...

  • replacement custom snap in carpet for 1998 Smoker Craft 2030 Commander I/O deckboat

I have a 2030 Commander which is identical to Sylvan 2030 Spaceship, and recently replaced snap in carpets. Since I found it difficult to get an idea of pricing without sending in my carpets I thought it might be helpful for someone else to find information...

Try running your fishfinder off of a portable 12 v battery with nothing else attached. Sounds like electrical interference vs. a hull problem.

  • I'm not seeing a 1/2" gap and flapping vinyl in the pic you posted, looks pretty tight to me actually.

    Welcome aboard!

    Watermann,
Comp is 134-138 on all four. Rebuilt the accelerator pump and pulled, cleaned rebuilt carbs. I'm going to check the timing again tonight and pull the prop which is a three blade.

  • Are there any screws along the sides of the helm? The carpeted side may have small screws hidden in the piling. Best thing is to post some pics. Set up a Photobucket.com account and you can upload pics to it and then copy and paste to your post.

That's the correct brand that I use.......maybe an old pic though?....the stuff I get is 100% acrylic Latex. It does indeed bond well to non-ferrous metal. I can attest to that and it hasn't separated at all on the last 3 boats I used it on.

    Ebbtide Trim Levels

    Hello,

I have found a 1992 Ebbtide 182 XY and will be possibly purchasing after taking it out for a weekend. In researching the boat I find that there are what appears to be different trim levels, XY and SE for example. Does anyone know...

Greetings all... I have been following the forum for some time but had not contributed previously. I have a similar situation with my 15' Duratech Sealine -- in that I cannot specifically determine the date of manufacture. The serial number is #14128...

I can see the appeal of the early Starchiefs with no cabin bulkheads. It feels much more open and roomy. There is the aforementioned privacy problem I guess. Nice job.

It all depends on you whether or not it can be done. Lots of guys here are stick to it sorts that are driven to finish their project and get on the water. Other take years if they even finish or just end up selling the boat after tearing it down to parts...

    234 ss listing to port

I bought a 2014 Monterey 234 ss and it seems to be listing to port noticeably. All storage is mostly on the port side of the boat, which would be the obvious reason. I've talked to the dealer ans was told to rearrange gear, which I have with no change....
