Someone had put down CCA plywood on top of the old floor. They just used random deck screws here and there and didn't tie into the aluminum. It looked like a job that someone did in about 4 hours. I bet it added a couple of hundred of pounds of...

  • Tahoe Q6 Gas Lift Cartridges that hold up the sundeck over the engine compartment

I just found this site after googling my searching for Tahoe Boats forum so I am new to this forum.

Last Fall I purchased a 2006 Q6 Sport which required new upholstery. Just got my seats back and the gas cartridges that mount to the rear...

Nice work on the decking, I'm not a huge fan of carpet in boats but to each his own and it sure looks nice in there!

A couple thoughts on the rear deck, your fuel tank and batteries are back there so you can't enclose it like you have in...

replied to starting my 22 ft v5 holiday project....question
Yeah maybe guys but... I tried that on my SN, scuffed old paint and such but there was something about trying to lay down new paint on top of totally scratched, gouged and mangled up bottom paint on a 35 year old paint job that didn't go so well. When...

    bumps/blisters in gelcoat

    Hey everyone -

I recently went to look at a 2001 220 LX that I've been considering purchasing. In general, the boat looked like it was in good shape and I may be interested in purchasing it sans one potential deal breaker. As I was inspecting...

i just ground down a chisel that I had and used my air hammer. Turned the psi down to 30-40 and what little I had to do came out perfect! I don't have a very large compressor.

All the wood seems fine, its just the carpet wearing out. I'm guessing that they factory didn't use the top of the line carpet (ie they still use the crappy bias ply tires instead of radials to save money). I will change out the wood at the same time....

I bought a 1991 GLS195 Sportfisher I/O that was disassembled to replace the floor. The floor was replaced but they never finished putting the console's etc. back together. I need help with a wiring diagram or pictures to get me going in the right direction....

    That's unfortunate

Best of luck completing this project, it will be a loss not seeing it documented to completion.

    Please check your PMs...

I definitely should not be sanding fiberglass, and aluminum and foam make excellent sides and engine cover for an aluminum boat and require zero maintenance.

So it sounds like one battery should be fine. It does have a '85 mariner OB which I was told did have a alternator to charge the battery when on.

As far as placement. I was thinking weight distribution would be better if it was up front....

Doral SS rub rail end anyone?

I've lost a stainless rub rail end (or rub strake) as pictured and hoping to find another new or used.
This piece is the end of the rub rail found wrapping around Doral swim platforms.

    Throttle problems

My 9.9 gamefisher motor runs great at idle to mid range then it acts like it's either getting too much air or too much fuel, my fuel mixture is probably around 43:1 mayb 48:1 so I don't think that's the problem, I'm not sure how to really gain access...
