I also recently bought a similar boat and it does not have a capacity plate - appreciate any information on carrying capacity.

canman:

Just found this thread...I know it's a bit old.

I also own an '89 220 Magnum but has a 4.3 OMC Cobra Sterndrive.

According to the sales literature (the original!):

Fuel Capacity: 48 gal (218 L)
Gross Weight: 3900 lbs. (1769 kg)

I love my 220!

hi everyone , hey mohawkmtrs your boat is white with blue trim the same as ours ,i noticed you do not have the remote spotlight either . it must have been an option , i have the cable going out there and thats it . we go up that way every year , it is beautiful up that way . i like going to the poker runs and looking at the go fast boats , if i ever win the 649 the first thing i have to do is buy bolt castle and then my 26 foot donzi .

Nice area, one of my boat trip dreams is to head down to Lake Ontario, then up the Rideau to Ottawa and back. I'm on Lake Scugog so it's a good journey

Re: 1989 thundercraft 220 magnum

Hi Everybody:

Canman: Mine had the remote searchlight as well but the cable is the only thing left...they got easily broken and I prefer having a handheld light anyways.

Mine also came with the 12v fridge, cockpit cover (tonneau cover), transom ski hook and external rear deck shower (located on the stern side transom).

When in the Thousand Islands (a 3.5 hr. cruise away from my dock), we usually stay at Canoe Point State Park on the eastern tip of Grindstone Island...WAY better than the Canadian National Parks Islands.

FYI...I've attached the original sales literature for you guys.

Re: 1989 thundercraft 220 magnum

The "stove" is basically an alcohol burner located above the fridge and next to the sink (it came as a standard feature).

I've used it to make perked coffee after anchoring overnight in a cove while The Admiral sleeps! Works good and she likes to wake up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee (and Baileys!) and I get to collect the Brownie Points!
