Hello all. I`m preparing my Q6 fs for the season and found one of my screw holes at the forward fish seat base stripped. Has anyone had any luck at this type of repair. There is no bottom access of course, so I`m wondering if there is an insert I could use or some other method. Thanks for any advice.

You can clean it out then fill it with marine tex and then redrill it. If the base is white then use white marine tex

I believe I would tap the hole to the next size bolt size. The origional size should be 1/4 20 bolt size the next will be a 5/16 bolt. No pre drilling to be done just re-tap to next size

I retapped the hole to a 5/16 and replaced with a bolt. The seat base is as good as new. Thx for all the replies.
