2007 Tahoe 196 WT OB. Smart Tab vs. Hydrofoil?

Purchased this boat used a few weeks ago. Has a 150 Merc, EFI on the back. Fully trimmed under it would still porpoise quite a bit when hitting a wake or mild wave. I put an SE300 Sport hydrofoil on it shortly after getting it and it made a noticeable improvement but I still can't trim it up very much before it will porpoise again. Can a hydro be used with Smart Tabs or should I just remove it if I install Smart Tabs? Been considering the Smart Tabs as they seem to get great reviews everywhere I look. TIA.

Definately get the Smart Tabs. it makes a world of difference. When i bought my boat it had a hydrofoil on it already, and I just left it on. Haven't tried it without it so I dont know if it helps at all. But the smart tabs definitely helped out.
